Custom Amplifiers All of my custom built amplifiers are built one at a time. Cabinets, chassis, face plates, and circuitry are all hand built by me. The resulting quality can definitely be heard. In addition to producing fantastic tone, my amps are built to capture that vintage look of American amps made famous in the 1950's. You will definitely get people's attention as soon as you walk into the room with one of them. Most of my builds for customers are reproductions of a popular vintage Fender, Ampeg, or Marshall amplifiers. However, I have had the opportunity to explore new territory using these classic designs as a starting point. Below are two such examples. If you are interested in having me build your next amp, please send me an e-mail for a quote. |
De-Lite This is one little amp with a huge sound. It is largely inspired by the first generation of Fender Deluxe amplifiers used by guitarists such as Scotty Moore. The De-Lite is powered by a pair of 6V6 output tubes and uses the old 6SC7 octal preamp tubes for a much warmer tone. The gain boost switch is a nice little feature when you need that little something extra for playing leads. Simple Volume and Tone controls make this a no nonsense amp that is all about pure tone. At about 14 watts of output through a 12 inch ceramic magnet speaker, it is punchier, brighter, and a bit louder than similar amps with ALNICO speakers. This is a perfect amp for practice or for small gigs. |

Club 210 This is my personal amp that I use to gig with. Not too big and not too small. It is based on the original '65 Fender Deluxe Reverb circuit with some changes to fit my personal preference. It has two channels, reverb, vibrato, brightness controls, and a master volume. It puts out a very impressive 22 watts through two Eminence Red Coat Ramrod 10 inch speakers. This thing will do anything from clean, sparkling country to crunchy 60's and 70's rock. It is perfect for the typical club setting (hence the name). This thing is loud too. |
